Where is Scuba World?
The head office of Scuba World is located in Makati City, Greater Manila, Philippines. Our physical address is 1181 Vito Cruz Ext and we are open Monday – Friday 9am –7pm and Saturdays 9am – 2pm. Our head office has in house instructors, administrative staff, dive equipment workshop and on-site pool facilities. How do I get to the Philippines from abroad?
The Philippines is situated in South East Asia just south of Hong Kong. Flights from North America are routed through Vancouver or LA usually though Hong Kong or via direct flight. Access to the Philippines from Europe is either through Dubai or Hong Kong. If you would like some routing suggestions please contact our travel department

Is the Philippines safe?
When you travel half way around the world you do have to be a little more careful where you go and a little more aware of your surroundings. We recommend you carry comprehensive travel insurance and have a planned itinerary.
Please be a responsible traveler, get off the beaten track a little and experience all the Philippines has to offer but please check with a local before you go for some sound local advice!

What are the costs associated with Scuba Diving?
When you sign up for a course such as Open Water Diver, all of the materials, gear and certification fees are usually included. We always recommend that students purchase their own basic gear as soon as possible in order for them to feel comfortable in the water (this includes mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit). Other dive gear is usually purchased depending on finances and how much diving you are actually doing.
In the more advanced levels of diving the course fees usually exclude equipment rental and certification fees. If you need more information please email us at

Is Scuba Diving safe?
The simple answer is YES scuba diving is safe if you are a safe diver. Most accidents that happen in scuba diving are a result of diver error. If you have the proper training, keep current on developments in the dive industry, follow the appropriate dive tables, know the industry standards and always dive with a buddy in safe conditions you will not have a problem. It is safer to go for a dive then go for a drive!
Where do you dive as a beginner?
After you are certified you may want to dive with a Divemaster or Instructor for advice on appropriate dive sites. We recommend many of the dive sites in the Philippines; wherever you go there are usually sites that are appropriate for beginners and some that need more training.
What equipment do I need?
Below is a list of equipment that is generally used by the majority of divers in most conditions. This list is only a guideline and you should consult your dive professional for any additional gear that may be appropriate for you.
This is a great question from one of our divers. Most divers here prefer to wear close fitting swim wear under their wetsuits. And depending on how you react to temperature; divers in the Philippines wear anything from just a rash guard to a 5mm full suit.
What is the process for becoming certified?
If you have never been diving before we would like to invite you to one of the Scuba World locations for a FREE Discover Scuba Dive! This introduction will help you decide if diving is something you are going to enjoy.
The first level for any diver is an Open Water Diver Course. This certification with Scuba World is a PADI certification which is recognized all over the world.
